We’re delighted to announce the launch of our Spring and Autumn/Winter 2025 menu.
We’ve carefully curated a diverse selection of high-quality music, theatre, spoken word and family shows that will captivate your audiences and enrich your local community. Whether it’s an event in a village hall, library, pub, or community space, Applause is here to assist.
For families, we have Airport Alien, a fun-filled, fantasy adventure from Rhubarb Theatre that is bound to transport audiences out of this world. There’s also Shoe Baby by Long Nose Puppets, an award-winning sing-along adventure about a baby on a fantastical journey by sea, air, and zoo—all in a shoe!
In music, we are thrilled to offer an evening with Beth and Ben aka The Bookshop Band, whose songs are inspired by literary works from authors like Margaret Atwood and Philip Pullman, making for a truly unique concert experience. We also have Ahmed Dickinson, a virtuoso classical guitarist from Havana, renowned for his performances of 20th and 21st-century composers’ work, featured on BBC Radio 3.
As part of our theatre offerings, we are proud to present Hamlet by Regeneration Theatre, a striking one-person adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic, which has already received standing ovations. Additionally, Wild by Black Country Touring Theatre is a powerful new production exploring the wildness within ourselves and the natural world, developed through conversations with local communities.
Applause offers financial subsidies to volunteer hosts and organizers and supports programmers to help make their events successful and stand out from the crowd.
