Our Applause Outdoor Season 2025 Menu has arrived! 

This summer, enchant, amuse, and spark your audience’s imagination at your outdoor event with our new shows. 

For the 2025 season, we have handpicked shows to commission and support that are highly entertaining and suitable for all ages, making them ideal for fostering creativity in outdoor community settings. 

These include Aquanauts Adrift, featuring krill puppetry and eye-catching bubble spectacles. You can also see two 1950s jukeboxes spring to life as performers recreate classic pop music videos. The Elephant and the Drummer will bring live puppetry and Indian music together in a fabulous celebration of Persian miniatures. Step up to the Wellbeing Wells, an interactive experience where you can make a wish, say hello, and enjoy the simple joy of making a connection. Shed-ache is a seriously silly dance theatre show, while Caspian’s Storm follows a curious crab named Caspian in a delightful story that will have kids and adults laughing out loud. Finally, By the Scent of the Cherry Blossom offers a mini collection of fascinating tales bathed in physical performance, puppetry, visual poetry and clowning with the added pleasure of fresh, ripe cherries! 

We’re pleased to welcome back some audience favourites from the 2024 season. Arcade Mini will return with dance ‘games’ to connect people of all ages. You can join us down on the farm with the interactive puppet show The Puppet Petting Farm. The Ukulele Apothecary will help you forget your troubles with joyful tunes, and Emoto-matic will feature a live demonstration by a team of haphazard scientists on how to extract and bottle unwanted emotions. 

Applause offers financial subsidies to volunteer hosts and organisers and supports programmers to help make their events stand out from the crowd.
