Applause is pleased to present our Autumn 2024 menu. We’ve carefully crafted a menu showcasing a selection of exceptional touring productions, uniquely designed for indoor venues. Whether it’s an event in a village hall, library, pub, or community space, Applause is here to assist. Through partnerships with outstanding performing companies, we present shows that promise to captivate and inspire your audiences.
Step into the world of enchanting family theatre with shows such as “Jack and the Beans Talk” – Garlic Theatre brings a fresh and funny twist to the traditional Jack and the Beanstalk story, promising charm, inventiveness, and plenty of interactive elements for a memorable family experience. Alternatively, enter the realm of captivating theatre and spoken word with shows including; “Paul Kerensa’s “An Evening of (Very) Old Radio,” where Paul informs, educates, and entertains with tales, clips, and re-enactments of landmark moments in radio history, or for a unique blend of comedy and culinary skills, don’t miss George Egg, the comedian who cooks using nothing but a kettle, iron, and grill/laptop! Alternatively, dive into a world of music with a diverse lineup that promises to enchant your ears, including Rioghnach Connolly, the current BBC Radio 2 folk singer of the year, or experience lively and left-field re-imaginings of the folk music tradition with “Tiny Violins” by Jack Dean & Company, a disabled-led, artist-owned non-profit band.
