Memories with Connor

Memories with Connor is an interactive photo kiosk that uses storytelling and immersive performative art to open a dialogue on the often-relatable experience of forgetfulness.

The project is an examination of the relationship between neurodivergence and its effects on working memory.

Whilst the booth can operate autonomously, lab-coat-clad booth technicians are typically on hand to check for coin authenticity, help with memory selection, and review new memories.

The experience takes around 2 minutes and is suitable for 12+ or younger with assistance. It starts when the user inserts their newly earned ‘Memory Coin’ into the coin slot. The screens, lighting and audio instantly change, transporting them into a new memory waiting to be made. The user appears alongside Connor in real-time on the screen through digital AI composition. They are photographed as they explore and build new memories, which are then automatically printed out.
