It’s a quiet month for shows in the run up to Christmas but before the festive period well and truly kicks in there is another opportunity to see the brilliant Maria Ferguson perform her one woman show Essex Girl.
A monologue about growing up surrounded by expectation, of inappropriate relationships, female friendship, secrets, desires and alcopops, it questions how the Essex Girl stereotype influences young girls, what they want, what they think they deserve, and how they are treated. Wonderfully funny and ultimately hard-hitting it will resonate with a wide audience, particularly millenials, or anyone who has got too drunk at a house party. Part of Inn Crowd, get yourself to the White Lion in Selling on Thursday 5th December at 9pm. Tickets are £7.50 for the show, or £12.50 for ticket & steak meal.
If you are looking for something to entertain the children after the excitement of Christmas Day, this wonderful new family show from Mumblecrust Theatre is what you need! The Time Machine reinvents HG Wells’ Sci Fi masterpiece with an award-winning mix of puppetry, original music and storytelling.
See it in Godmersham on Saturday 28th December at 6.30pm and Frittenden on Sunday 29th December at 3.00pm. More details are here
