A one-woman show, accompanied by live music by Centre Parting Martin, that is based in a village hall. One woman attempts to raise funds for a new roof, by inviting a troop of local characters to perform a turn for the audience. Will the fund-o-meter reach its target amount or will the show never end? The turns range from a heartfelt song about a loved one who isn’t as bad as he seems, to a dance routine following a divorce.
Hosted by Brief Encounters’ Celia Jesson (A pitch-perfect impression’ – Observer) and former WI committee member Joanna Neary. Joanna is an award winning actress, credits include Radio 4’s ‘Wosson Cornwall’, Cosmic Shambles Networks’ ‘Wife On Earth’, Time Trumpet, Miranda, So Awkward, Ideal, and Darkest Hour.
