Taking as its starting point Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, the Trilogy by award winning writer John Knowles, explores the post-play life of three of its characters: Toby Belch, Antonio and Viola. By turns comic, tragic and heroic, the Trilogy is an intimate evening of powerful storytelling, exploring themes of love, frailty, ageing, coercion and self empowerment.
All three plays: Fiction Romance, Toby Belch is Unwell and The Devil’s Doorbell can be played separately or in any combination. Each lasting approx 45- 50 min. Full fee is for all three shows, reduced price for double bill.
“It’s a blistering howl of outrage … presented with utter stripped back simplicity, humour and verve. If you go to the theatre to share in something real, connect to your deepest humanity, hopes and fears, be transported and to feel more… then this is the show for you.”
