A Noise Annoys at Christmas

A festive hour of witty wordplay, silly songs and joyful nonsense from poet, entertainer and three-time national slam champion Jude Simpson. 

Featuring rhymes, noises, songs, surprises and lots of audience interaction, this is a poetry show for all the senses. It will engage children with the spoken and written word, and leave them full of joy at the possibilities of language.

Jude takes the audience on a mind-bending festive journey through the sounds of language and the language of sounds. There’s lots of joy, a healthy dose of nonsense, and ultimately, a chance to celebrate seasonal words of peace and harmony.

Nominated for Best Kids’ Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2026, out of a total of 70 children’s events at the festival.
