We are delighted to announce the winners of our ‘Celebrating Your Community’ photography competition.
07th September 2020
We received hundreds of brilliant entries capturing the heart and spirit of communities across Kent and Sussex, and the tough job of judging was given to local professional photographer Georgina Edwards.
The winners in each category are:
Overall Winner- Oana Bakovic ‘On Top of Robertsbridge’ – Robertsbridge
Community Winner- Paul Pitman ‘Christmas Capers’ – Robertsbridge
Flora & Fauna winner- Mary Ayling – Slindon
Rural View Winner- Tony Peake – Allhallows
Overall winner Oana Bakovic wins an Applause show for her community in Robertsbridge in 2021, and the other winners all received prizes. Thank you to everyone who took part, we’ll be using lots of the images on our new website which we are busy working on to launch later this year.
I felt the winning image beautifully captures a wonderfully serene sense of the countryside and I love the nostalgic feeling the picture evokes. It makes me want to follow the arrows, walk the path through the field and go exploring! A really super image.
