Nick Makoha is the Winter Warmers poet for the South East with Botanist.
The Founder of Obsidian, Nick is a Ugandan poet and playwright and based in London. He told us what pubs mean to him:
“There are certain places that are fabrics of society, your pub, your barbershop, your local bakery, they make the journey of living enjoyable. My hope is that these poems capture some of the joy we have been unable to share with each other in person and give us hope that we will return to those good times.”

Inn Crowd Pubs+ is a four-year national project running until August 2022, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The first phase of the project ran from 2016 to 2019.
