Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities.
This year, day 6 marked Power of Youth Day. A celebration of the contributions children and young people make to society through volunteering and social action.
Here at Applause we want to use this day to encourage young people to become hosts and bring live events to their local community.
We recently spoke with one of our young hosts Kira, an Event Management student at Brighton University, after she hosted a show with Applause.
This video is a useful watch for anyone thinking of becoming a host (of any age), as Kira shares her experience of working with Applause to bring an event to the local area.
