Are you passionate about your local community?
We would love to celebrate this!
So we are launching an exciting new competition called Celebrating Your Community, and the main prize is a FREE APPLAUSE SHOW for your community to enjoy. There will also be a selection of other prizes for each category.
This is a photo/visual challenge, so you could be inspired by something beautiful in your garden, a view from your window or something found on a walk. Anything that captures the essence, spirit and heart of your community.
Behind the scenes here at Applause we are developing a brand-new website and we’d like you and your communities to share with us an image, drawing or other creative visual that epitomises the landscapes, the people or activity of where you live. We would love to be able to share the results on our new website.
We would like submissions in the following categories:
- Rural view– do you have a beautiful view from your garden, a window or something found on a walk?
- Flora and Fauna– is there some lovely plant or animal life in your community?
- Community events and togetherness– do you have any visuals from before lockdown when your community came together?
- Children’s category– let your little ones get creative and submit a photo, drawing or other creative visual based on the theme of their community
This competition is open to all ages and includes all visual mediums. The only stipulation is that we can share it on social media and on our website.

Terms and Conditions
- You can submit as many entries as you like
- Be as creative as you like, but please stay safe and follow government guidelines
- By entering you give permission for your submission to be used on Applause Social Media channels and the Applause website
- We will assume that all submissions have the permissions of anyone featured in the image (this is the responsibility of the applicant)
- The first prize of an Applause show for your community will be at a mutually agreed date in 2021
