Applause are delighted to introduce our new colleague Claire Bailey-Day.
Claire is joining us as our Essex Community Engagement Field Worker, a new role created to help us expand on the work we’ve been doing in Essex since 2022. Applause has worked with communities in Essex to provide cultural opportunities in village halls and high streets, and Claire will help us widen the reach of our activities and facilitate the delivery of meaningful arts in Essex.
Claire has a wealth of experience in theatre and the performing arts, having spent 25 years working in various roles and departments at The Queens Theatre, Hornchurch. Her passion lies in connecting people, and she has spent several years working on numerous successful immersive projects in and around her local community. In her own time, Claire has created a non-profit youth theatre in her hometown of Essex, catering to children aged 4-19 years.
Claire says, “I am really excited to connect with a variety of Essex communities, bringing skilled performers to their local spaces. By doing this, I hope to help create memorable experiences that celebrate the significant impact that the arts have on a community.
