We are pleased to announce that Applause has been awarded an investment grant from Essex County Council’s Arts and Cultural fund. This funding enables Applause to offer a pilot touring programme to Essex communities to help support and rejuvenate the arts and culture in the county.
Applause Director Dawn Badland says, ‘This is a fabulous opportunity to work with communities across Essex so that more people can have the opportunity to enjoy and participate in the Applause programme benefitting from an infrastructure which has been built over a long period of time. We hope that local audiences will enjoy experiencing inspiring creative and cultural activity close to home and that we are able to continue to work with Essex communities over the long term.’
Having recently developed new opportunities with Creative Estuary in North Kent and South Essex this pilot project extends the reach of Applause’s work across the county.
The Essex County Council Arts and Cultural fund has been designed to help organisations and practitioners to deliver a broad and exciting range of work and activities to engage with and bring residents together.
The arts, cultural and creative projects supported by the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund, will contribute to the Levelling UP Essex Strategy and play an integral part in enabling the objectives of Essex County Council’s wider objectives as set out in Everyone’s Essex.
