Counter’s Creek

Counter’s Creek is an acoustic folk band who play original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond. Expect foot-tapping jigs and reels, heartfelt songs, 4-part harmony and dance grooves from Eastern Europe and West Africa and a whole lot more.

Featuring Ben Cox (voice/flute/whistles/harmonium), Jonathan Taylor (flute/whistles), Tom Newell (violin/viola) and Moss Freed (guitar).

They are delighted to announce the release of their second album, ‘My Treasured Land’, on OOB Records (The Netherlands) in 2025. They are currently touring the UK to promote the album, having performed extensively at UK venues and festivals over the last five years, including Sidmouth Folk Festival and BAAFest.
