Thameside Theatre
Thameside Theatre is part of the Thameside Complex at the heart of Grays.
You can get here:
on foot – you will find us on Orsett Road close to the High Street, just off the town centre
by rail – from Grays railway station on the c2c line, walk along the pedestrianised High Street and turn right into Orsett Road where you’ll find us just 200 metres on the left
by bus – Grays bus station is directly opposite the railway station, just 5 minutes’ walk from the Thameside Complex
by car – we are 5 miles from the Dartford Tunnel, where Grays is well signposted from the A13 (M25) Junction 30
Local parking is available:
at a car park behind the Thameside Complex, in Cromwell Road, RM17 5HF, which offers free parking after 6pm – go to car parks in Grays for details of other charges
on-street in the immediate area, with no charge after 6pm – check signs on individual streets
in the pay and display car park at Morrisons supermarket, which is a 5-minute walk from the complex and also convenient for local restaurants and takeaways
The Thameside Complex has lifts to all floors. The theatre itself is on the third floor.
The theatre has wheelchair spaces in row letter O:
2 at seat numbers 1 to 4
2 at seat numbers 11 to 14
2 at seat numbers 21 to 24
These seats must be booked in advance. They are shown on our seating layout.
There is a disability toilet on the second floor fitted with RADAR scheme keys. You can borrow a key from our staff.
There are 3 disability parking spaces at the front of the Thameside Complex on Titan Road. There is a ramp to the entrance of the complex, where the front door is electrically operated.
Wheelchair access to the stage is via the stage door, dressing room corridor, and stage lift.
An infrared hearing system is fitted in the Thameside Theatre. This allows people who are hard of hearing to enjoy the full range of sounds in the theatre. You simply wear a small receiver about the size of a pack of cards. The sound can be heard either through your
